Camp Kurios rules and policies
At Camp Kurios, we aim to provide a safe and supportive environment where campers can grow in their faith, make new friends, and have fun. To ensure everyone has a positive experience, we have established the following rules and policies.
Cabin Curfews
Curfew time will be set by the Session Director according to the activities of the day. Everyone is asked to go to their cabins at the assigned times.
DESIGNATED CABIN AREAS
No boys are allowed in or around the girls’ cabins. No girls are allowed in or around the boys’ cabins.
Attending Scheduled Activities
All campers must attend all scheduled activities. No one is allowed to go back to their cabins during a scheduled activity unless (1) approved by the Session Director and (2) accompanied by a counselor and at least 1 other cabinmate or counselor.
Water Safety
Campers may not go to the pond or the pool during undesignated times unless (1) approved by the Session Director and (2) accompanied by a counselor and a lifeguard.
Care of Property & grounds
Please respect Camp Harris property. Do not destroy, damage, or vandalize any items or facilities on Camp Harris property. If something breaks, report it to the Session Director immediately.
Stay on Campgrounds
Campers may not leave the camp grounds unless been previously arranged with the parent/legal guardian and the Session Director. A parent must check the camper out with the Director and the camper’s Counselor before leaving.
NO OUTSIDE VISITORS
Because we have a very limited time together at camp, every part of the schedule is thoughtfully planned for our campers. In order to allow campers to fully engage in the camp activities, build relationships with their peers, and maintain a safe environment, we do not allow visitors during camp. If you would like to volunteer to be a counselor or serve at camp, please contact the appropriate Session Director to inquire and express your interest in future opportunities.

☑️ To support a respectful, distraction‑free environment in our Christian camp setting, campers and staff are expected to dress modestly and appropriately for all activities.
☑️ Clothing should provide appropriate coverage during normal movement and activities.
🚫 NOT permitted:
Shirts with open sides, open backs, or exposed midriff
Sleeveless shirts or tank tops
Shorts that do not provide adequate coverage (at least mid-thigh) during standing, sitting, or movement
Shorts that are hidden by shirts or not clearly visible
Rolling, folding, or altering shorts at the waist to reduce coverage
Biking or yoga shorts
Clothing with offensive language or images
☑️ Athletic shorts, including Nike‑style shorts, are allowed if worn properly and meeting these guidelines.
Camp staff reserve the right to address attire that does not align with these expectations and may ask campers to change if necessary. We appreciate your support in making sure your camper comes to camp with clothes that meet these guidelines.
prohibited items
Campers may NOT bring or have the following items at camp:
🚫 Mobile Phones. We do not allow campers to have cell phones. If you bring one, it must be turned in to the Session Director at the beginning of camp and it will be returned at the end of the session. Parents, we need you to help us reiterate and enforce this. When students get away from their phones, they are more open to meeting new people and making friends, not to mention enjoying the mysteries of nature and the great outdoors and connecting with God.
🚫 Entertainment-type electronics such as iPods, iPads, music players, computers, electronic gaming equipment, etc.
🚫 Alcohol, tobacco of any kind, e-cigs, vape products, weapons (including pocket knives), fireworks, lighters, & matches.
