Hi there! We are so excited you are taking the time to learn what we do here at camp! There is a lot of thought and prayer that goes into creating our daily schedule each summer at Camp Kurios. Our main goal is to create an active, enjoyable schedule while also intentionally making room for meaningful, spiritual moments. Here is a glimpse of what a typical day at camp looks like! (Some events/activities vary depending on the day.)

Morning Games
Morning games are a big part of Camp Kurios history! On the first night of camp, our campers are randomly divided up into 6 different teams! We try to randomize the team selection as much as possible to encourage friendships between campers outside of their cabins. Campers will stay with their teams throughout the week of camp during morning games, random team activities, and team Olympics. Morning games have a daily rotation of 3 sports. Each game lasts roughly 20-25 minutes with breaks for water and rest in between each.
Morning games include:
Kickball
Ultimate Frisbee
Gaga Ball
Dodgeball
Nuke ‘em/ Volleyball
Free Time
Free Time is a 3 hour block in the afternoons for campers to play their favorite sports, connect with other campers, or beat the heat in a cool area! We start every free time with a 20 minute window to grab a snack and drink (or a sno-cone) from the canteen! (Free of charge, of course) We also provide coolers outside that are always filled with cold Gatorade and water! There are many activities for campers to try, and we encourage them to try activities they’ve never done before!
Activities
Fishing
Arts & Crafts
Basketball
Frisbee Golf
Gaga Ball
Volleyball
All morning game sports are available as well
Praise & Worship
Praise & Worship follows dinner every night. Each P&W session begins with singing a few songs led by one of our counselors, and then has a sermon, based on the years theme, given by guest speakers! These speakers can be either camp directors, counselors, or, most times, someone from the Camp Kurios family (Kurios alumni, past directors/counselors, affiliate churches) drives to camp just to give the sermon!
